Send modes
#
Introduction
Documents to Pagero can be sent in different send modes. Pagero will process and handle the documents according to the chosen mode.
Please note that these different send modes are used in different stages of your connectivity testing and go live.
We currently don´t have a (separate) test environment for public use which each send mode means to replace.

Production mode (prod)
Files sent to Pagero will be processed fully and delivered to the end recipient or end recipient’s service provider as a production document.

Usage
Used for production data to be exchanged between sender and recipient.

Test mode (test)
Files sent to Pagero will be processed fully and delivered to the end recipient or end recipient’s service provider as a test document.
Usually test documents are delivered to a separate environment or can be marked as test in different manners.

Usage
Used for end to end (E2E) testing. Document will be sent to recipient if an applicable test environment is available at recipient side.
Note
Not all recipients or receiving service providers have a test environment setup.
Always consult the recipient before sending documents in test!

Certification mode (cert)
Files sent to Pagero in certification mode are processed fully but never delivered to the end recipient. This allows for testing documents against Pagero Online without having them delivered to the end recipient.

Usage
Used to test the connection from sending application to Pagero Online.
No files will reach the receiver and is only applicable when testing the capabilities to send business documents and make sure that the technical setups are correct.

Note about technical responses
The send modes described above do not apply for technical response messages/receipts which are only handled as a response to a previously sent file from Pagero Online.
